Conceived as a platform to encourage exchange, and intended to create links with an international network of professionals, the exhibition places the emphasis on young creation in the Rhône-Alpes Region. It supports new projects, painting, photography, sculpture, video, installations… very much anchored in today’s world.
It also favours an international visibility for participants by allowing the movement of artists in non European structures.
In May 2008, Rendez-vous was exported to the Shanghai Art Museum in China, giving strong visibility to these young artists, in a very dynamic Chinese artistic context.
The project also joined a network of international residences in partnership with prestigious non-European institutions.
