Opening hours

The museum is closed until September 19, 2026, for the installation of the 18th Lyon Biennale.

From Saturday, September 19 to Sunday, December 13, 2026:

  • Tuesday to Friday: 11:00 am to 6:00 pm
  • Saturday and Sunday: 10:00 am to 7:00 pm

For groups booking a guided tour, the exhibition opens at 9:30 am.
The museum is open on Sunday, November 1, and Wednesday, November 11, from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Biennale Pass Admission 

The Pass is valid from September 19 to December 13, 2026.
The Pass is undated and grants one-time access to four exhibition venues.
Venues accessible with the Pass: Les Grandes Locos, the Institut d'art contemporain de Villeurbanne, the Musée des Tissus, and macLYON.

Two-wheeled vehicles

The Voie Lyonnaise 1 (cycle path linking Saint-Fons to Vaulx-en-Velin) passes in front of the museum.
Bicycles and two-wheeled vehicles can be parked in front of the entrance to the museum on the park side.
The Velo'v station (bicycle hire service, 1/2 hour free, with a credit card or a TCL card) is located near the museum
