The macLYON is a partner of the 36th Congress of the Comité International d’Histoire de l’Art, which will take place at the Centre de Congrès de Lyon, just near the museum, from June 23rd to 28th, 2024.
In 2024, France will host the largest scientific event in art history worldwide! Held only once every 4 years, the Congress of the Comité International d’Histoire de l’Art will return to France for its 36th Edition for the first time since 1989. It will take place at the Lyon Convention Center from June 23rd to 28th, 2024. Internationally renowned specialists, young researchers, students, museum and heritage professionals: the Congress aims to bring together the art history community in the broadest possible manner. The theme of this edition is Matter, Materiality.
The macLYON contributes by hosting some conferences and organizing several highlight events:
- during the congress: several sessions hosted at the museum
- Tuesday 25 June at 19:30: performance in macLYON
- Thursday 27 June: closing party at macLYON
