With Maja Kolarić, Director of MoCAB, Una Popović, Head of New Media Collections at MoCAB, and Matthieu Lelièvre, Head of the macLYON Collection.
The exhibition Personal Stories / Political Realities offers a dialogue between the collections of the contemporary art museums of Lyon and Belgrade. A close collaboration between the MoCAB and macLYON teams, developed over several years, has enabled the discovery of each other's collections and fostered a desire to cross-reference perspectives, stories, and works. The exhibition offers both access to the prolific contemporary art of Serbia and the former Yugoslavia, whose works are still very rarely found in French public collections, and an introduction to the international contemporary art scene, a characteristic feature of the macLYON collection.
This evening will be an opportunity to discover more about the history of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade.
