Saturday 23 May 2026: a celebration of creativity to mark 50 years of contemporary art in Lyon!
Echoing the five editions of the Lyon International Art-Performance Symposium (1979–1983), founded by the artist ORLAN and the art critic Hubert Besacier, macLYON is inviting five emerging artists linked to the local scene. Through wanderings, tastings and sound experiments, they revisit 50 years at the crossroads of disciplines. The event will continue into the evening, in a festive atmosphere with DJ sets to mark European Museum Night.
From 3pm, performances by five artists: Tom Castinel x Morgan Patimo, Agathe Chevallier, Anna Holveck and Jules Maillot.
From 2pm, "Samedi d'Adele"
The Adele network is organising a tour to explore the programmes at the following venues: Galerie Houg, La BF15, La Salle de bains and macLYON. More information to follow at www.adele-lyon.fr.
From 11am to 11pm, exhibitions to explore free of charge.
To help you get the most out of the exhibitions, the museum’s team and students from the Lycée du Parc will be on hand in the exhibitions to discuss the artworks with you.
In the evening, DJ sets with macBAR; the line-up is to be announced.
European Museum Night is organised by the Ministry of Culture.
